Rope Review Training

The Paratech Monopod, mounted to the Officer’s side of Rescue 40 during training.
This past Saturday, on-duty staff reviewed a 3:1 lowering and haul rope rescue system. Crews also reviewed a seldom required piece of equipment used to provide a high anchor point: the monopod. The monopod is an adjustable-height beam that can be mounted in multiple places on Rescue 40, and secured with rope at a desired angle, to provide flexible and adjustable lifting points for advanced rope rescue systems.
