GREGORY PORTER is the Executive Director of Ross/West View EMSA. He has been employed at Ross/West View EMSA since 1996. Greg also serves as the Fire Chief in the Borough of Etna. He is a member of PA ST-1 which provides Urban Search and Rescue services. This team is out of Region 13 and PEMA. He also served 11 years as a Flight Paramedic for Stat-Medevac and 7 years as a Response Team Paramedic for Saint Margaret’s Hospital. Mr. Porter has several emergency response certifications including FEMA Medical Specialist and FEMA Rescue Specialist for USAR, Firefighter-2, Fire Instructor-2, and Fire Officer-4. He is nationally certified in various rescue disciplines from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006 standards. He is nationally certified as a Paramedic (NREMT-P) through the National Registry System. He has presented at various conferences on technical and operational issues and on management styles and relations. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and A Masters of Business Administration. Mr. Porter is a lifelong resident of Etna Borough where he lives with his wonderful wife and four sons.
