Steve started at Ross/West View in 1996 as an EMT student. While in EMT class he also began Essentials of Firefighting at the Allegheny County Fire Academy. Upon completion of both EMT class and Essentials of Firefighting, he began volunteering at Ross/West View and Berkeley Hills Fire Company (where he is now a Life Member) and was hired as a full-time EMT in March of 1997. Steve entered Paramedic/Rescue Class at Mercy Hospital in the fall of 1999 and graduated in July of 2000 as the class Valedictorian.
